Remote Support

Now that we’re all green and cutting our carbon emissions (aren’t we?!) I’ve realised I can do a large percentage of jobs without even leaving my office. As long as you have a working internet connection I can connect to your PC and fix many common problems using Remote Desktop software- which basically means that with your permission I can see your computer and control your mouse pointer and keyboard remotely over the internet.

All you have to do is download and run a little file which then connects to my computer and lets me see what you can see on your computer screen- you can then see me moving the mouse pointer and making changes to the computer - if necessary we can talk over the phone while I’m doing it - I’ve done some tests already which you might have been part of or heard about already and it’s worked very well. After I’ve fixed the problem I disconnect and you will see that the little file has deleted itself and I can no longer see your PC until the next time you need me.

Obviously not all problems can be fixed like this; if your PC won’t start up, or you have no internet connection then I will have to be physically present, but for a lot of jobs I can just connect, fix the problem and disconnect with the minimum of disruption to you.
